Cover Supervisor

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of secondary schools across the Gravesend area, including co-educational schools, grammar schools and secondary academies. These schools all have strong local reputations for delivering high-quality education and provide supportive environments where staff are valued and encouraged to make a positive impact.

The schools are looking to appoint a full-time Cover Supervisor on a daily supply basis from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will confidently deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, encourage student engagement and quickly build positive relationships with pupils across a variety of subjects. A subject specialism supported by a Bachelor''s degree would be advantageous but is not essential.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with young people in an education or youth work setting
• Experience supporting students within a classroom environment
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Confidence leading classes using pre-set lesson plans
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build immediate rapport with students
• A Bachelor''s degree or subject specialism would be advantageous but is not essential
