Job Role: Cover Supervisor (Science with Some Maths required)
Location: Aylesbury
Contract: Short-Term, Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Aylesbury. The role involves supervising science lessons and assisting with some maths teaching. This is a short-term, full-time position, ideal for someone with experience in science and a passion for supporting studentsandrsquo; learning. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing classrooms and ensuring students stay on task while learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise science lessons and support maths teaching in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Ensure students remain focused on their work and complete tasks set by the teacher.
• Provide support and guidance to students as needed, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons, ensuring that all necessary resources are available.
• Provide feedback to the subject leader regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Support students in their learning and personal development as directed by the school.

Requirements:

• A strong knowledge of science and some understanding of maths at secondary school level.
• Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and flexible approach to tasks.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
