A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in the Fareham/Gosport area from September 2025. This is a long-term position with the strong potential to become a permanent role for the right person.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms during teacher absence, ensuring students stay on task, complete the set work, and maintain the school''s high expectations for behaviour and engagement. You will supervise lessons across a range of curriculum areas, supporting students in their learning and managing the classroom effectively.
While you will not be required to plan or mark lessons, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Confidence in managing groups of young people is essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in the teacher''s absence
- Maintain an orderly, respectful classroom environment
- Encourage student engagement and on-task behaviour
- Support pupils with their learning where appropriate
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups
- Uphold school values and promote a safe, inclusive atmosphere
