Supply Desk are working closely with a secondary school in Portsmouth, who are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience. The successful candidate will supervise pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the teacher''s absence.

Supply Desk are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to work within a supportive secondary school in the Portsmouth area. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The role involves delivering pre-set work across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining positive behaviour for learning and supporting students throughout the school day. No planning or marking is required, making this an ideal stepping stone into teaching.

• Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching or mentoring environment.
• Are confident managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
• Can deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Are adaptable, organised and able to think on their feet.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold a degree or relevant experience working within schools (desirable but not essential).
• Are passionate about supporting students and helping them achieve their potential.
• Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
