A number of secondary schools in Sheffield are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support classroom learning and ensure continuity of education during teacher absence.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and complete pre-set work. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in education or those with experience working with young people in any capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during teacher absence across KS3 and KS4
• Ensure students complete set work and remain focused
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
• Support student engagement across a range of subjects
• Report any issues or concerns to relevant school staff
• Follow lesson plans provided by teaching staff

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work or similar)
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Confident, adaptable and professional approach
• Ability to build rapport with secondary-aged students
• Reliable and consistent availability
