Cover Supervisor Required

Teacher Active is looking for a reliable, confident, and proactive Cover Supervisors to join our agency. We work with several schools in North London, and we have short term positions available for the right people.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, whether you are an experienced supervisor or a graduate looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career.As a Cover Supervisor, you will step in when a teacher is absent, ensuring that students remain on task, safe, and productive.Key Responsibilities Supervise Classes: Deliver pre-set work left by the teacher to students across various subjects.Behaviour Management: Maintain a calm and focused classroom environment using the school s behaviour policy.Support Learning: Answer student questions and provide guidance to help them complete their tasks.Reporting: Take registers and provide brief feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues. What You Will Need Confidence: The ability to lead a room of 30+ students with authority and a positive attitude.Communication: Strong verbal skills to explain tasks and de-escalate situations.Resilience: A calm approach when dealing with challenging behaviour or unexpected changes to your schedule.Flexibility: The ability to adapt to different subjects and age groups throughout the day.
