Cover Supervisor

Looking to gain classroom experience in a secondary school setting? Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and proactive Cover Supervisors to work across a range of Hackney, East London secondary schools.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, coaches, youth workers, mentors, or anyone with experience supporting young people.

The Role

• Supervise classes during teacher absences
• Deliver pre-set work and lesson instructions
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Support a safe and productive learning environment
• Provide feedback on student progress and behaviour

We''re Looking For

• Degree holders or candidates with relevant youth-based experience
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confident, adaptable, and professional individuals
• Passion for supporting young people''s development
• School, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or youth work experience is beneficial

Working Hours

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Typical hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm

Requirements

• Right to Work in the UK
• Two years of professional references
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Completion of Prospero Teaching compliance checks
