Cover supervisor

Prospero Teaching are looking for a confident, reliable and supportive SEN Cover Supervisor to join a specialist setting in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and has experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, behavioural or additional needs.The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the usual teacher, delivering prepared work and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the lesson. The role will require someone who can establish positive relationships with pupils, maintain a calm and structured environment, and confidently manage behaviour while adapting their approach to individual needs.Key responsibilities:Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared workSupporting pupils with a range of SEN and additional needsManaging behaviour positively and consistentlySupporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and behavioural needsBuilding positive and trusting relationships with pupilsMaintaining a calm, safe and structured learning environmentEncouraging pupils to remain focused and engagedAdapting support to meet individual pupil needsWorking closely with teachers and the wider SEN teamProviding feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviourIdeal candidate:Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH pupils is highly desirableExperience in a school, care, youth work or support setting is beneficialConfident managing challenging behaviourPatient, ..... full job details .....
