A fantastic secondary school in Enfield, North London is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, graduate or someone with strong experience working with young people who is looking to develop their career within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused, engaged and on task. You will be expected to follow pre-set lesson plans and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising students across KS3 and KS4.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and learning activities.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
• Supporting students with their learning and encouraging positive engagement.
• Ensuring students complete the work set by their classroom teacher.
• Maintaining a safe, calm and positive classroom environment.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team.

The school is looking for someone who is:

• Confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Able to establish positive relationships with students.
• Calm and consistent when managing behaviour.
• Passionate about supporting young people''s education.
• Able to follow instructions and lesson plans effectively.
• Experienced working with young people, or a graduate looking to gain school-based experience.

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker or similar role would be advantageous.
