Position: Cover Supervisor Contract/Position Start Date: ASAP Duration: Daily and Long-Term Contract Type: Temporary Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Minimum Rate of Pay: Negotiable Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacherManage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environmentSupport students across a range of subjects and year groupsEnsure students remain on task and engaged with learningProvide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, engagement, and behaviourBuild positive relationships with students and staffSupport the wider school community when requiredExperience, Training and QualificationsRelevant qualifications and experience leading classes or supporting secondary-aged students in an educational settingPrevious experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Learning Mentor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker is highly desirableStrong classroom and behaviour management skills are essentialUp-to-date Safeguarding training is required.
