The School and Role

Justteachers is seeking a Secondary Cover Supervisor, who is looking for a Long term role, in a Secondary School in the Preston area , on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in April 2026, we are shortlisting for this role now.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising classes during teacher absence for KS3 and KS4
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans without introducing new content
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students to stay on task and engaged in learning
• Recording attendance and reporting any concerns to relevant staff
• Adapting to cover a range of subjects and year groups as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a UK secondary school
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to deliver pre-prepared lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Good communication and organisational skills
