Are you organised, reliable, and looking to work in a school environment supporting teaching staff? This role as a Cover Supervisor in an outstanding secondary school in Islington could be perfect for you. We are seeking motivated Cover Supervisors to start September 2025, covering classes when teachers are absent. This is a term-time only role paid on a daily rate.

Responsibilities

Supervising classes during teacher absences to ensure continuity of learning

Managing student behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment

Following lesson plans and supporting students with independent work

Reporting any issues to teaching staff and school leadership

Supporting the wider school team as needed

About The Role

Supervising lessons in a secondary school setting

Ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for all students

Permanent contract - £23,000 - £26,000

September 2025 Start - Term Time Only - Full Time availability preferred

Based in the London Borough of Islington

About You

Experience working with secondary school students preferred

Confident and calm under pressure with strong classroom management skills

Reliable, punctual, and professional

Good communication skills and the ability to follow lesson plans accurately

A genuine interest in supporting young people\''s learning and wellbeing
