Cover Supervisor

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools across Enfield, Islington, and Southgate in North London.

This flexible supply position is suitable for those with school-based experience, recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced cover supervisors. Long-term opportunities may become available depending on school needs.

Contract Details
- Location: Enfield, Southgate, Islington
- Position: Cover Supervisor
- Type of Work: Secondary Cover Supervision
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Daily supply (with potential for longer-term roles)
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm (full day)
- Full-time/Part-time: Flexible, depending on school needs
- Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP95 per day

Responsibilities
- Maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring students stay on task.
- Supervising students as they complete pre-set work left by the teacher and ensuring planned lessons are followed.
- Assisting students with questions or difficulties and ensuring everyone understands the tasks.
- Enforcing school policies regarding student behaviour and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Recording attendance and documenting any noteworthy incidents during lessons.

Experience, Training and Qualifications Needed
- Previous experience working with young people in a school setting.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable, but training can be provided).

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Be able to provide two professional, child-related references.
