Cover Supervisor

PK Education are currently recruiting a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or experienced education professional looking to take the next step within a secondary setting.

We are looking for individuals who can start immediately and are available for both flexible day-to-day work and longer-term placements.

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to students

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively

• Ensure students remain engaged and on task

• Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each lesson

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience desirable)

• A genuine passion for working with young people

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments

• Good behaviour management skills

• Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
