Academics is recruiting a Cover Supervisor in Portsmouth to support a secondary school on a full-time, term-time-only basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on classroom experience while supporting students'' learning and behaviour in the absence of teaching staff.

As a Cover Supervisor in Portsmouth, you will supervise pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring a calm, productive learning environment and maintaining high behaviour standards.

Key Responsibilities - Cover Supervisor (Portsmouth):

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson work and ensure students remain on task

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Take attendance and ensure lessons start and finish on time

• Collect completed work and report back to teaching staff

Requirements - Cover Supervisor (Portsmouth):

• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable

• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
