Working as a Cover Supervisor gives you the opportunity to experience different classrooms, subjects and year groups, while developing the practical skills, confidence and school-based experience that can be invaluable when progressing towards a career in teaching. The schools are looking for Cover Supervisors to work on a full-time basis from September, delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. You will manage classroom behaviour, provide guidance to students and create a positive learning environment, giving you valuable experience of leading a whole class and developing the skills schools look for in future teaching staff.
