We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Cover Manager to coordinate daily staff cover arrangements and ensure continuity of learning across the school. This is a key operational role requiring excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organise daily cover for absent teaching staff, including liaising with supply agencies and internal staff.
- Maintain accurate records of staff absence and cover arrangements.
- Ensure cover work is prepared and distributed appropriately.
- Support the smooth running of the school day by responding to cover needs promptly.
- Liaise with senior leaders, HR, and teaching staff to ensure effective deployment of cover supervisors and supply staff.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cover provision.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in using management information systems and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
- Experience coordinating staff or managing rotas.
- Understanding of safeguarding and school operations.
