Court of Protection Solicitor, 6+ PQE, Hampshire, £75,000–£95,000 DOE. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solicitor to join a highly regarded and expanding Legal 500-ranked team. THE ROLE
Join an established and highly regarded Court of Protection team, advising individuals, families, and professional clients on high value complex matters, with a particular focus on cases arising from catastrophic and serious brain injury.
You will manage your own caseload of Property & Affairs Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and their families and overseeing the day-to-day management of their affairs.
Your work will include preparing Court of Protection applications and supporting documentation, assisting with Office of the Public Guardian reports and annual reviews, ensuring matters are managed in line with OPG Deputyship Standards, and liaising with case managers, families, and other professionals. You will also have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior colleagues and play a key role in developing and improving team processes.
THE CANDIDATE
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with 6+ years’ PQE and proven Court of Protection experience, ideally with a background in Property & Affairs Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts. You will have strong technical knowledge, excellent client care and communication skills, and the ability to manage a complex caseload with a high degree of autonomy. Experience working with vulnerable or brain-injured clients and their families is desirable, as is experience supervising junior colleagues and contributing to business development.
