Job Title: Court of Protection Paralegal (Health and Welfare)Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 (DOE)Location: Watford (Hybrid available)Job Type: Permanent, Full-timeWe are looking for a driven and empathetic paralegal with experience in Court of Protection work. The role offers exposure to a broad range of Health and Welfare matters, including Mental Capacity Act proceedings, with the opportunity to manage your own caseload and develop your expertise within a supportive team environment.Main Responsibilities:Managing a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including s.16 and s.21A MCA 2005 proceedingsSupporting solicitors on a range of Health and Welfare casesLiaising with clients, experts, and the Official SolicitorDrafting legal documents, correspondence, and preparing bundlesConducting legal research and preparing case summariesManaging client files and maintaining accurate recordsAttending and assisting with hearings and client meetingsEssential Skills and Experience:Minimum 1 year''s experience in Court of Protection (Health and Welfare) workStrong knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and relevant case lawLegal aid experience (advantageous)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectivelyIf this sounds like the right role for you, please apply.
