The Court of Protection Advisor position is based in the West Midlands, offering a full-time, permanent contract with a salary between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience. This role suits a compassionate and proactive professional who manages complex casework for those unable to handle their own affairs. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will administer deputyship matters, safeguard financial interests, and ensure compliance with legal standards. Ideal candidates bring at least 12 months in a similar role, strong organisational skills, and a relationship-building approach. This position allows you to make a genuine difference while supporting vulnerable clients.

Court of Protection Advisor, West Midlands, 12 months experience in a similar role, £35,000+ (DOE) - We are looking for a compassionate, organised and proactive Court of Protection Advisor to join a growing Private Client team in the West Midlands. REF:4814.
THE ROLE:
• This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing complex casework and making a genuine difference to the lives of individuals who are unable to manage their own affairs.
• Working alongside experienced Court of Protection professionals, you will support the administration of deputyship matters, helping to safeguard the financial interests and wellbeing of vulnerable clients while ensuring all work is completed in line with legal and regulatory requirements
• You'll work closely with clients, families, care professionals, financial institutions and other organisations, ensuring matters are handled efficiently, professionally and with empathy.
• Prepare applications, correspondence and legal documentation for submission to the Court of Protection.
• Maintaining regular contact with clients, relatives, care providers and professional contacts.
• Assisting with financial administration, including processing invoices, monitoring client accounts and recording transactions.
• Providing general support to the wider Court of Protection team as required.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to a range of people and situations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
• A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
• Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
