We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate individual to step into a pivotal role as a Course Leader for Digital Art / Media. If you are a strong classroom practitioner with industry-relevant knowledge and a desire to lead, manage curriculum activity, and drive student success within Further Education, we want to hear from you.

You will lead a positive course culture, taking ownership of a specific student group''s experience, progress, and outcomes. Working in close partnership with the Pathway Manager, you will balance high-quality teaching with protected time for regular, impactful one-to-one student progress reviews.

Role Responsibilities

Teaching & Delivery: Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment within agreed limits, setting high expectations for achievement and behavior while using digital tools to enhance learning.

Course Leadership: Lead a positive course culture focused on achievement and retention. Monitor learner progress, conduct scheduled one-to-one reviews, support at-risk learners, and stretch high achievers.

Quality & Improvement: Contribute to course reviews, support the development of schemes of work, and actively participate in assessment, moderation, and quality assurance processes.

Recruitment & Student Support: Support recruitment, interviews, and enrollment activity while working collaboratively with support teams to ensure inclusive practice and learner success.

Safeguarding & Professional Duties: Promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity, and inclusion while keeping your own subject knowledge and industry practice completely up to date.

Requirements

Qualifications: A recognized teaching qualification (Level 4 minimum, Level 5 desirable).

Education: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a subject area relevant to Digital Art and Media.

Experience: Proven experience teaching post-16 learners in a Further Education setting, with a track record of supporting learner progress, managing course data systems, and driving achievement.

Skills: Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills, with the ability to use data and digital tools effectively to improve teaching and learning.

Vetting: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
