Job Title: Countryside Ranger Location: Rochdale Borough Area Working Hours: Day shifts (predominantly outdoor work) Salary: £13.55 - £13.69 per hour We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Countryside Ranger to join our team within the Rochdale Borough area. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys working in natural environments and contributing to the upkeep and sustainability of local green spaces.Countryside Ranger Key Responsibilities: Carry out general countryside maintenance, including fence repairs and installationMaintain and manage outdoor drainage systemsSupport and assist with educational sessions and community engagement activitiesEnsure all work is completed safely and in line with environmental and health and safety regulationsOperate equipment and tools required for land management tasks Countryside Ranger Requirements: Full UK driving licence (essential)Valid and up-to-date PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates (essential)Experience in countryside management, grounds maintenance, or a similar outdoor roleAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skills, particularly when supporting educational activities Countryside Ranger Desirable: Previous experience in a ranger or environmental roleKnowledge of local wildlife and conservation practices What We Offer for a Countryside Ranger: Competitive hourly rate with clear opportunity for pay progressionOpportunity to work in a varied and rewarding outdoor ..... full job details .....
