Country Manager - Independent Power Producer - Malawi

This role is with an inspirational Independent Power Producer (IPP) seeking to build its presence in Malawi. The project is focused on a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative, with the aim of taking the project through Financial Close into Operations and building the in-country Asset Management team for ongoing and future projects.Overview

Lead the Malawi presence for the IPP project, driving development through Financial Close to Operations.Build out and manage the in-country Asset Management team and processes.Identify and drive future projects in Malawi in line with the company’s strategic objectives.Collaborate with the global team to leverage financial backing and expertise for project delivery.Qualifications and experience

Robust background taking utility-scale renewable energy projects through development stages to successful completion.Strong knowledge of the Malawian energy landscape and regulatory environment.Experience at a senior/Director level with leadership of cross-functional teams.Exposure to Solar Power, Wind Energy, BESS, Hydropower, Hydrogen, Floating PV and related technologies.Compensation

Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr. Pay is based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter for specifics.Employment details
