Charge Rate: -19.77 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 17:00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm

On behalf of our client based in Burntwood, we are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Counterbalance Yard Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for long-term, stable employment with the chance to develop new skills.

The Role

The successful Counterbalance Yard Operative will be responsible for carrying out general yard duties, supporting site operations, and assisting the team in a hands-on capacity. Experience in a similar role is preferred, though training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and maintaining the yard area
• Operating a counterbalance forklift (training provided if required)
• Supporting team members with day-to-day operations
• Using iPads, spreadsheets, and digital systems to complete tasks
• Willingness to occasionally stay away from home for overnight work

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a physically demanding, hands-on role
• Prior work as a Counterbalance Yard Operative is desirable but not essential
• Confident in using power tools and general equipment
• Organised, dependable, and detail-focused
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
