This Counterbalance Forklift role in Cumbernauld suits an experienced warehouse operator seeking steady work. The position is full time and temporary, with a genuine prospect of permanent employment for the right person. Hours run Monday to Thursday, 08:00 until 16:00, and Friday, 08:00 until 15:00, giving 37 hours each week and an early finish to close it. Pay is £15.50 per hour. Duties combine safe truck operation with general warehouse tasks, including moving stock, loading and unloading vehicles, and keeping areas tidy. This position starts on a temporary basis, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent contract based on performance, attendance, and team fit. It is a key dual role within our warehouse operation, combining forklift driving with day-to-day warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating the Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move stock around the warehouse.
- Managing goods in/out, including checking deliveries against paperwork and reporting discrepancies.
- Stacking, racking, and picking orders accurately for dispatch.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties, manual handling, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
- Supporting periodic stock checks and inventory audits.
- Certification: Valid, accredited Counterbalance Forklift license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience operating a Counterbalance truck in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
