Job Title: Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver

Location: Ashford, Kent (TN23 / TN24)

Start Date: Early October 2026 (Monday, 5th October 2026)

Contract Duration: Ongoing / Long-Term

Pay Rate: -15.00 - -17.00 per hour (dependent on shift pattern and pay type)

We are recruiting an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver for an ongoing position at a busy distribution and materials warehouse in Ashford, starting at the beginning of October 2026.

This role offers steady full-time hours, clean indoor/yard working conditions, and consistent weekly pay with an established local employer.

• Safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift truck to move, stack, and load palletized goods and heavy materials.

• Loading and unloading curtain-sided HGVs, container lorries, and delivery vans.

• Stacking goods into high bay racking systems and transporting materials across the warehouse/yard.

• Conducting pre-shift safety checks on the forklift truck and reporting any mechanical issues.

• Assisting with general warehouse duties, manual handling, stock checks, and keeping loading bays tidy.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (RTITB, ITSSAR, NORS, or AITT accredited certificate-must be refreshed within the last 3 years).

• CSCS Card (A plus if site-based, but accredited FLT certificate is essential).

• Safety Boots & High-Vis (Full PPE required).

• Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience operating Counterbalance trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or yard environment.

• High attention to spatial awareness, stack stability, and health & safety standards.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

• Start Date: Early October 2026.

• Duration: Long-term ongoing work with permanent potential.

• Weekly pay via PAYE, Umbrella, or CIS options.
