Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Kinetic plc are currently recruiting for several experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join an established and innovative business based in Sunderland.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a temporary ongoing position for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for the assignment to continue longer

A valid, in-date and external recognised Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential.

Please note - You must be available to work both morning and afternoon shifts and in-house forklift licences are not suitable for this position.

Shift Pattern & Pay -

Morning Shift

* Monday to Friday
* 07:00 until 15:00
* -14.35 per hour

Afternoon Shift

* Monday to Friday
* 15:00 until 23:00
* -14.60 per hour

The Role

Working within a busy warehouse and logistics environment, you will support the movement, handling and preparation of goods, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities -

* Operating a counterbalance forklift to load and unload delivery wagons
* Picking orders accurately using a handheld scanner
* Moving goods and materials between different areas of the warehouse
* Preparing, packaging and labelling products for dispatch
* Ensuring goods are handled and stored safely
* Maintaining accurate picking and stock records where required
* Following warehouse procedures and health & safety guidelines
* Supporting the wider warehouse team to meet operational deadlines

About You -

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need -

* An in-date external recognised Counterbalance Forklift licence
* Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift
* Experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
* The ability to use a handheld scanner and follow picking instructions
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to safe working practices
* A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Full availability for both shifts within the rotating pattern
