Job Summary

Our client based in Harlow,-are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Reach Truck/Counterbalance Driver to join their dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will operate reach trucks to efficiently move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise in equipment handling, mechanical knowledge, and warehouse management systems will ensure smooth operations and optimal inventory control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation while maintaining high safety standards and accuracy.

Job Details

• Monday-Friday
• Rotating shift patterns (07:00-15:00 / 15:00 - 23:00 /23:00-07:00)

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate reach trucks to pick, load, and unload materials in designated warehouse areas
• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
• Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency
• Handle materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and retrieval according to safety guidelines
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation
• Perform heavy lifting as needed, adhering to safety protocols for manual handling tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to support efficient workflow

Experience

• Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar forklifts in a warehouse setting
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
• Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety and accuracy
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and best practices
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, quantities, and weights
• Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred
