Overview of the role:
As a Council Tax & Benefits Officer, you''ll be responsible for handling customer enquiries, processing claims, and providing accurate, timely advice. You''ll work both independently and collaboratively, helping to improve service delivery
This is a hybrid role, office attendance required on Tuesdays and Fridays
Responsibilities and Duties
- You''ll report to a Council Tax and Benefits Team Manager.
- Enjoy the flexibility of working across various service points, along with opportunities to work remotely.
- Be part of a collaborative, supportive team, delivering a high-quality service and providing excellent support to customers.
- Help shape the Council''s reputation by promoting a positive image through every interaction.
- Some roles may include home visits, offering a varied and dynamic working environment.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, service users, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Take ownership of a specific area of work, keeping your team informed and driving service improvements.
- Stay organised and focused to ensure key deadlines are consistently met.
- Experience using NEC Revs & Bens and NECDM is essential.
