Costs Draftsman Team Leader - HDRHours: Full timeSalary: up to 60K DOE + bonus Location: Manchester City Centre - at least 1 day in the office a week Job Reference: CWS522Key Responsibilities: As Costs Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of costs draftsmen, managing their performance, and acting as the key technical referral point. You will provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance both individual and team performance, while also maintaining a reduced personal caseload of housing disrepair costs matters. You will take ownership of drafting and reviewing Points of Reply, as well as managing Lien, Client Costs, and Defendant Costs files. A key part of your role will involve ensuring that fee earners and solicitors are fully supported with accurate and timely costs schedules, allowing cases to progress smoothly. You will also oversee the recovery of costs following successful case outcomes, ensuring that processes are completed efficiently and in line with best practice. In addition, you will play an active role in the smooth running of the wider business by assisting with operational requirements as and when needed.Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in supervising and managing legal costs teams, ideally within HDR claims. Strong working knowledge of Proclaim and Costs Master.
