Costs Draftsman / Costs Lawyer Location: ManchesterSalary: £45,000 per annumJob Type: Permanent, Full TimeWorking Pattern: Hybrid, subject to role and team requirementsOur client is a well-established national law firm with a strong regional presence, currently seeking an experienced Costs Draftsman / Costs Lawyer to join its growing national Costs team in Manchester.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious costs professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative legal environment.The Role Working as part of a growing national team, you will be responsible for the preparation and litigation of costs matters, working closely with clients, fee earners and senior members of the Costs team.Your responsibilities will include: Preparing Bills of Costs for Detailed and Provisional Assessment. Litigating Bills of Costs through the Court process. Providing advice and guidance to clients throughout matters and taking instructions as required. Liaising directly with clients and other relevant stakeholders. Providing technical costs support to fee earners across the business. Attending Court and undertaking advocacy where required and appropriate. Assisting with the training and development of more junior members of the team. Managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and client service.
