Location : GloucestershireSalary : £40,000 - £50,000Permanent Role I''m currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Engineer to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer based in Tewkesbury.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in CNC machining, process planning, manufacturing engineering, and component costing who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial decision-making.You''ll play a key role in supporting the business''s quotation and manufacturing strategy by developing accurate cost models for complex machined components.Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams, you''ll be responsible for analysing customer requirements, defining manufacturing routes, estimating machining times, and ensuring quotations are both competitive and profitable.Key Responsibilities Costing precision machined components from customer drawings and CAD modelsDeveloping manufacturing routes and process plansEstimating CNC milling and CNC turning cycle timesCosting raw materials, tooling, fixtures and subcontract processesSupporting quotation and bid activitiesIdentifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvementReviewing designs for manufacturability (DFM)Working closely with production and supply chain teams to validate costs and lead times What We''re Looking For Experience within a Cost Engineering, Estimating, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering roleStrong understanding of CNC milling ..... full job details .....
