Cost Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cost Engineer to join the capital projects team on an ethylene manufacturing plant.The successful candidate will be a highly experienced Cost Engineer who''ll bring proven expertise in strategic cost estimation and project controls across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to execution. This is a key role that will help shape project planning and delivery through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.Key Responsibilities:Cost Estimation and OptimizationDevelop detailed cost estimates across all project phases: concept, feasibility, and execution.Analyze project scope and specifications to identify cost-effective solutions.Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.Cost Control and ReportingPrepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to project and leadership teams.Monitor project budgets and track actuals against baselines, flagging deviations.Project Controls and SchedulingCollaborate with planning teams to align cost estimates with project schedules and milestones.Integrate cost data into project controls systems and tools.Risk Management and BenchmarkingConduct cost risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.Benchmark project costs against industry standards to ensure competitiveness.Procurement and Vendor SupportSupport procurement by evaluating vendor proposals and providing cost insights.Assist in contract evaluations to ensure alignment ..... full job details .....
