Cost Controller

THE COMPANY We are working alongside Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services (one-third of Aberdeen based PBS by Ponticelli). JOB PURPOSE Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial control of assigned project/s ensuring adherence to budget and preparing cost estimates by analysing proposals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with overseeing project costs throughout all phases of a project Prepare cost estimates by analysing proposals Create invoice documents and cost reports for both clients and internally for distribution Assist with reviewing contracts and purchase orders from clients to understand all aspects and dynamics affecting the project Assist with the confirmation, status and plan for job packages, hours and any other costs relating to the project Identify labour, material and time requirements and computing costs Assist with Month End closing Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cost control function and provision of robust financial reporting. EXPERIENCE and SKILLS REQUIRED Previous experience working in a cost control role, ideally supporting a large project. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritise and plan work tasks accordingly to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
