Cost Analyst

Role Title: Cost Analyst Duration: 6 Months Location: Middlesborough (Some Travel to Teeside area and Inverness) Rate: 190p/d via UmbrellaThe Cost Controller will support Project/Package Management with the management and control of contract costs, ensuring contracts stay within budget and meet quality standards by estimating costs to completion, supporting contract/commercial management, and overseeing financial reporting, for various professional services and/or supply contracts. Key Responsibilities include: Cost Estimation and Control/ManagementEstimating quantities and costs of materials, labor, and time.Developing cost plans and budgets.Monitoring costs and identifying potential cost overruns, including the tracking of variations/changes to the contract that may affect costs.Advising on cost-cutting measures and value engineering.Analyzing repair/maintenance or re-work costs.Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.Contract Management/Commercial supportOverseeing and valuing subcontractors'' work for payments and support on payment/invoice management.Support on managing risk and ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.Assessing the quality of work and identifying potential issues.Support on ensuring the subcontractors/suppliers have the necessary skills and experience for their works.Support on change management, contractual notices, claims and document control.Reporting and Analysis:Preparing cost and progress reports.Analyzing ..... full job details .....
