Cost AccountantLocation: LondonSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceContract: PermanentWe have partnered with a leading global financial services organisation looking to recruit a qualified Cost Accountant to join its London finance team.Working within a complex international business, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, providing greater visibility over operating expenditure and strengthening financial controls. The position combines hands-on accounting with analytical responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the business and contribute to improvements in financial processes and reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesTake an active role in the month-end close, ensuring operating expenses are accurately captured through journals, accruals and prepayments.Review financial transactions and expense classifications, resolving discrepancies and ensuring costs are recognised in the appropriate accounting periods.Analyse expenditure across business areas, investigating variances and providing explanations for movements in costs.Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving outstanding items.Collaborate with finance teams and operational stakeholders to investigate queries, resolve accounting issues and improve the accuracy of financial information.Support the allocation of shared expenses across group companies, including intercompany recharges and transfer pricing ..... full job details .....
