Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice based in South West London, which is looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior or an Assistant Manager to join its growing tax team.

The Role
Working closely with the wider tax and accounts teams, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of corporate tax clients and play an important role in delivering a high-quality service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring all compliance requirements and deadlines are met.
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns for a range of companies.
- Providing clients with corporate tax advice and support, identifying opportunities for tax planning where appropriate.
- Assisting with more complex tax matters and responding to ad hoc client queries.
- Liaising directly with clients, building strong and trusted relationships and providing a proactive service.
- Working closely with the accounts team to ensure tax compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Reviewing work prepared by more junior members of the team, where appropriate.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior colleagues.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm's corporate tax offering.
- Previous experience in corporate tax, at Senior or Assistant Manager level.
- A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA, or be working towards qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Good client-facing and communication skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commercial approach to client service.
- The confidence to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider team.
- A desire to progress and develop within a growing practice environment.
