Our Northampton team of 25-30 professionals serves a diverse range of clients, with a focus on owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and UK subsidiaries of overseas companies typically in the -10m50m turnover bracket.

Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious Corporate Tax Senior to join our established tax team in Northampton. Working closely with our Assistant Corporate Tax Manager, you will handle a broad spectrum of corporate tax compliance and advisory work. This role offers excellent exposure to varied tax matters across a dynamic client portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Review
* Review corporation tax computations prepared by the audit department for audited entities.
* Prepare tax computations for complex client structures from start to finish.
* Review and prepare complex VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations.
Tax Advisory & Project Work
* Handle day-to-day ad hoc tax advisory queries from clients and internal teams.
* Assist with larger advisory projects, including corporate restructures and property acquisitions or disposals.
* Opportunity to work on R&D tax relief claims (around 10 claims per year; full training provided).
Business Development & Extra Duties
* Contribute to firm marketing efforts by drafting articles for the company website and industry publications.
Job Requirements
* Practice Experience: Solid background in corporate tax within a UK accountancy practice.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in corporation tax compliance; experience with VAT or R&D is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Qualifications: CTA / ATT / ACCA / ACA qualified (or working towards completion).
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with clients and drafting technical content.
* Adaptability: Ability to manage a varied workload covering multiple areas of corporate tax.
