These dynamic, entrepreneurial, and often fast-growing businesses require our expertise to navigate complex tax compliance obligations and support various tax advisory projects as they grow, restructure, and plan for succession.We aim to build strong, trusted adviser relationships by understanding our clients’ business and personal goals and helping them achieve these in a tax-efficient manner.Our wider national tax practice includes corporate, multinational, and specialist services such as innovation tax, employment taxes, VAT, and real estate, allowing us to support our Private Capital clients comprehensively.A look into the role
As a member of our Private Capital corporate tax team, you will work with a diverse client base, from owner-managed businesses to private equity-backed firms.As an Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:Advising clients on various tax issues, including compliance and advisory projects.Participating in client meetings, providing clear and confident responses to queries.Building trust through high-quality, accurate tax advice delivered on time.Leading client work, coordinating with wider tax teams to utilize appropriate skills.Mentoring and developing junior team members, understanding their career aspirations.Providing innovative solutions to tax issues and promoting cross-selling of services within Grant Thornton.Leading on pitches and proposals, actively growing the business and demonstrating our capabilities.Knowing you’re right for us
The minimum requirements include a professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience and confidence managing a portfolio of entrepreneurial clients.Preferred skills include:Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and international concepts.Experience reviewing work and supervising in a tax environment.Background in professional services.Managing a large tax client portfolio.Business development experience.Eagerness to deepen knowledge of the firm’s services.Knowing we’re right for you
