Corporate Security Officer (Nights Only)We are seeking an experienced and professional Security Officer to become a valuable member of our team. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

This is a full-time contract on a rolling nights only shift pattern: Wednesday to Sunday (60 hours) followed by Thursday to Sunday (48 hours) i.e. 5 on, 3 off; 4 on, 2 off averaging 54 hours per week.

We offer a pay rate of £13.94 with a holiday entitlement of 25.2 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Important: SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence is mandatory. Your application will be automatically rejected if you do not declare both of these licences on your application and CV.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain high standards of professionalism

Anticipate clients'' requirements and ensure their expectations are met and exceeded each day

Cover Security Controller role absences and monitor all security and building management systems in the Security Control Room and support the Security Supervisor

Maintain a high security awareness at all times and adopt a proactive approach to situations as they develop

Be seen as a visible customer focused professional by greeting clients and visitors where possible

Proactively monitor and respond to suspicious activities or persons using CCTV surveillance systems

Manage the fault log and follow up Help Desk or callout requests

Monitor information from internal and external agencies (e.g., news feeds, social media, intelligence) and respond appropriately

Perform Security Protective and Building Management System checks

Proficient use of communications equipment such as radios for effective response during incidents

Ensure all Health and Safety policies are adhered

Loading Bay management

Maintain accurate records of incidents and complete comprehensive incident reports

Oversee and manage emergency evacuations and be prepared to make decisions in fast developing situations

Undertake patrols and inspections as per Assignment Instructions

Provide a detailed handover at the end of each shift

Cover the Security Controller position on interim basis for holiday and other absences

Person Specification

Valid SIA Door Supervisor and SIA CCTV licence is essential

Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player

Reliable and alert when working night shifts

Previous experience in a similar role

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels

Ability to work independently with confidence and initiative in dynamic emergency situations

Keen to enhance client/visitor experience

Clear, concise, and confident communication with strong customer service orientation

Confidence and common sense to access and utilise resources when making decisions

Maintain confidentiality at all times

Computer literate, able to write professional emails and proficient with security systems and Microsoft Office

Acute sense of security awareness

Verifiable 5 years of continuous work employment and/or academic history without gaps

Understanding of one-team ethos and supporting the wider team
