Coppersmith / Sheet metal worker - Aviation and Aerospace

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Coppersmith / Sheet Metal Worker specialising in Aviation and Aerospace industries (or those with high spec industry experience). This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing sheet metal components used in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand tools, and experience working with sheet metal materials. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-precision projects within a dynamic aerospace environment. Duties Manufacture, form, and assemble aerospace sheet metal components, including ducting, pipework, and structural fabrications Work with a range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel and titanium Perform grinding, welding, and assembly of sheet metal components with precision and attention to detail Conduct mechanical fitting, ensuring parts are correctly aligned and securely assembled Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and suggest improvements for manufacturing processes Ensure all work conforms to AS9100 Requirements Proven experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, and assembly within the aerospace, aviation or tight tolerance / high ..... full job details .....
