Location: Heath, CardiffHours: 5.00 pm - 1.00 amPay: 13.45 per hour weekdays until 8.00 pm. 17.91 per hour 8.00 pm - 1.00 am Shifts: Any 5 days from 7, including weekends Contract: TemporaryDuration: 3 months The Role Manpower is recruiting a Cook on behalf of our public sector client to work within a catering retail unit. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of food items, including regenerating pre prepared meals, cooking pizzas, chicken goujons and other menu items, whilst ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene and customer service.Main Responsibilities Preparing and cooking fresh meals including dishes such as curries, lasagnes and other homemade style meals Supporting the day to day running of the main restaurant and canteen kitchen Ensuring all food is prepared to a high standard and served within agreed timescales Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures at all times Assisting with stock rotation and maintaining cleanliness within the kitchen Working as part of a wider catering team Ensuring excellent customer service is provided to staff and visitorsEssential Requirements: Previous experience working as a Cook within a commercial kitchen environment Experience preparing fresh, homemade meals Valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards Reliable, flexible and able to work evening and weekend shiftsThe role is subject to satisfactory references.
