Role overview CookWe are looking for someone with catering experience in an education or care based setting who would be able to plan, prepare, cook and serve meals to school pupils visiting The Hive environmental education centre on residential trips. Meals required are: CookBreakfast (hot and cold options, will require preparation, cooking and serving)Lunch (cold options, will be served by other team members)Dinner (hot options, will require preparation, cooking and serving)The Hive is located within Epping Forest with no access to public transport, therefore an alternative mode of transport will be required for the candidate the access the site.Role purpose CookThe purpose of the role is to cover a short-term gap in catering provision between our existing provider ceasing operations and a new member joining the team to take over.Key Responsibilities: CookPlanning, preparing and serving healthy and nutritious meals Keeping kitchen facilities spotlessEnsuring food safety and hygiene standards are metEnsuring dietary and allergen requirements are metManaging stock, supplies, and deliveriesQualifications and Requirements: CookWe need someone who is:Experienced in food preparation for approximately 60 people at a timeFlexible, proactive, and able to work independentlyComfortable juggling tasks and solving problems on the goAble to work evenings and weekends as and when requiredHolds an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificateIdeally holds a valid driving license (due to our remote ..... full job details .....
