Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support throughout the conveyancing process.
- Preparing and issuing client quotations.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and mortgage lenders.
- Providing regular client updates and monitoring the progression of files.
- Opening and closing files in accordance with AML, SRA and CQS requirements.
- Assisting with both freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Ordering searches and carrying out Land Registry applications, registrations and requisition responses.
- Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) calculations and submissions.
- Preparing bills, receipts and payment requests for fee earners.
- Providing occasional reception cover when required.
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary within Residential Property.
- A solid understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
- Experience handling leasehold matters.
- Confidence using case management systems and the Land Registry portal.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and client care skills.
