This role is site-focused, supporting customers primarily across the North East, with office-based work when not on customer sites. Controls Project Engineer - The Role:You ll be responsible for delivering controls projects from concept through to commissioning, with a strong focus on upgrading legacy systems and designing modern Siemens-based solutions from scratch. Upgrading older Siemens and Rockwell-based systems to Siemens S7-1500 with integrated Siemens safetyDesigning and programming Siemens TIA Portal systemsWorking on large-scale process equipment including: Steel processing systemsTest cellsPlastic film windingDrive winders, tensioners, power cellsCable and wire winding machinery Site commissioning, fault finding, and customer support Projects are varied, hands-on, and technically challenging ideal for someone who enjoys seeing a system through end-to-end.
