Controls Engineer South Yorkshire / Sheffield PLCs / Process Control / System Integration £50-65k Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a well-established and growing South Yorkshire based system integrator. This Controls Engineer role will suit somebody who enjoys developing PLC software from scratch, writing high-quality technical documentation and getting projects over the line through successful commissioning work on customer sites. The successful Controls Engineer will join a highly skilled team delivering projects across process industries including utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, energy and nuclear. The company has an excellent reputation in the market and a very strong pipeline of work for 2026 and beyond. Key aspects of the Controls Engineer role include The Controls Engineer will design and develop PLC and SCADA software from scratch for a range of process control projects Will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle from initial design through to commissioning and handover Experience writing detailed functional design specifications, test documentation and technical manuals is important for this Controls Engineer role Controls Engineer will carry out on-site commissioning work across mainly regional customer sites Projects are technically interesting and varied with a good mix of office-based software development and practical commissioning activity The business has a collaborative engineering culture where ..... full job details .....
