Controls / Automation Engineer Birmingham £50,000-£70,000 Permanent Days We''re looking for a Controls / Automation Engineer to join a growing, highly automated manufacturing operation that has recently moved from NPI into high-volume production. This is a fast-paced environment with extensive PLC, robotics, sensors, motion control, inspection and automated handling. The Role You''ll be hands-on, supporting the equipment, resolving faults and driving continuous improvement. You''ll work across: PLC programming, fault-finding and modifications HMI, sensors, servo and motion systems Robotics and automated equipment Commissioning and optimisation Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement Improving reliability, throughput and OEE About You We''re open to experience across any major PLC platform, including Beckhoff, Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi. You''ll need strong practical Controls / Automation experience and be comfortable getting into the PLC logic rather than simply identifying faults.
