Controls Engineer (PLC / Automation)On-Site - GloucesterSalary - 50,000- 55,000The Role Our client, a leading engineering and automation specialist, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. This role involves working across the full project lifecycle, from concept and development through to commissioning and customer support.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out PLC, HMI, and motion control programming and modificationConfigure and integrate software and hardware for networked control systems with distributed I/OProgram and integrate vision systems for inspection and measurement (e.g., Cognex or similar)Provide control system support for prototype machines, new builds, and existing equipmentEnsure machine safety compliance with relevant international standards and best practicesPrepare control system documentation for manufacture, testing, and customer handoverSupport customers through commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault finding (including on-site work)Identify and implement improvements to processes, productivity, and qualityContribute to product development and continuous improvement initiativesBuild effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, and suppliersFollow company procedures and maintain high professional and ethical standardsSkills, Knowledge and ExperienceHNC / HND (or equivalent) in a software, controls, or automation-related disciplineProven experience in PLC, HMI, and motion control programmingExperience with Rockwell Automation ..... full job details .....
