Controls Service Engineer, £57,000-£60,000 + car allowance, hybrid working, 1.5x overtime and more great benefits!

We’ve recently partnered with one of the fastest growing systems integrators who specialise in end-to-end automation within intralogistics and also with a focus on material handling systems.

Our client is growing due to customer demand and look after the PLC development, design, commissioning and installation of conveyor systems.

About the role:

This role is the perfect opportunity for someone who is currently working within Maintenance, but finding themselves doing a lot of controls work – or an existing Controls Engineer who is looking to upskill and learn more within the field of automation.

Responsibilities will include:

• To provide technical support to customers for all controls faults via communication channels.
• To diagnose and resolve PLC and automation related issues on Siemens Systems (TIA Portal).
• Attending customer sites to carry out corrective maintenance where issues cannot be resolved remotely.
• Detailing service reports.
• To ensure the continuous improvement of control systems through feedback.

About you:

To be considered for the Controls Service Engineer position, you should have the following abilities:

• Proficiency within Siemens TIA portal (S7 PLCs, HMIs and other related systems)
• Strong knowledge and experience within electrical installations, including panel wiring and fault-finding within those.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics and to be able to troubleshoot using analytical skills.
