Controls Electrical Engineer

Are you a skilled Controls Electrical Engineer looking for a high-impact contract where you can truly own the lifecycle of major capital projects? We are partnering with a large global manufacturer at their Slough site to find a dynamic Controls Engineer. You will be driving massive site upgrades, including a major overhaul replacing machines, integrating cutting-edge technology into existing systems, and upgrading legacy assets to modern standards. Location: Slough (On-site)Duration: 12 MonthsWork Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Full-Time)Pay Rate: £40.00-£60.00 per hour (depending on experience)As a Controls Engineer, you will manage a mix of project stages, focusing predominantly on Low Voltage (LV) controls systems. While hands-on programming isn''t a deal-breaker, you must possess the technical expertise to hold vendors accountable, lead commissioning, and fault-find effectively.Your daily responsibilities will include:Managing the end-to-end execution of engineering projects, from initial site surveying and concept design to scoping, alignment, and tendering.Issuing work permits for contractors and managing implementation safety, including electrical isolations on circuits.Working closely with contract partners, suppliers, and internal associates to ensure projects hit strict timelines and compliance goals.Actively participating in project design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).Overseeing the removal of old ..... full job details .....
